It’s been almost 8 months since Chromebooks first took flight. This being a Chromebook review site and information hub and all, I’ve started to realize that we’re missing one very important thing: Your stories!
If you have a Chromebook, such as one of the Samsung Chromebooks or Acer Chromebooks that were released in mid-2011, we would certainly like to know a few personal things, if you have the time and don’t mind sharing with complete strangers on the internet.
- What were your first impressions upon unpackaging your new Chromebook?
- Did you ultimately choose the Acer Chromebook or the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook? Why?
- Do you enjoy the 8-second boot up times compared to your old laptop?
- What Chrome apps do you use every day? What about for productivity, notes, reminders, etc.?
- Overall, what rating would YOU give your Chromebook? (Note: remember to include the manufacturer, Acer or Samsung)
If you already enjoy giving voice to your opinions, this is your chance to get your feelings heard on our Chromebook review site. We’ll look over all the submissions and post some of them here. The three of us have written a lot of reviews, app summaries, help articles, and informational articles here, but it’s a lot of work with all of us having jobs. If you would like to submit your own review of your Chromebook, an app, or any other material, please contact us and we will try to incorporate it into our next blog.
As always, we are very interested in hearing your questions. To be sure, Chromebooks are so much simpler to use in general than other laptops that, by now, questions are not as plentiful as they are with say, PC laptops, but if there’s anything you just can’t figure out for whatever reason, we’d love to know about it so we can answer it. Remember the old grade school adage, if you have a question, chances are there are several other people who are wondering the exact same thing.
That’s all I wanted to say. If you’re looking into buying a Chromebook, I hope you find the reviews on this site informative. If you already own one, let us know what you think — beyond the scope of blog comments (which I — very unfortunately — had to disable because of the massive continual onslaught of bots that visit this site in addition to humans).
