Chromebook Keyboard Shortcuts

This article is about the various shortcut or hotkeys on the Chromebook. It’s not required to know all (or even any) of them, but they can help save you time. Most are pretty intuitive and/or equivalent to the keyboard shortcuts on other operating systems, such as Windows 7. Below you’ll find a handy chart of the most-used Chromebook shortcuts and the effects they produce. We recommend you bookmark this page for future reference and learn the specific shortcuts you want to learn at your own pace.

Many of these are identical or very similar to keyboard shortcuts on Windows and Mac, so please don’t feel overwhelmed by this long list. For special Chromebook-only¬†keys, such as the top row of navigation keys and the Search Key, see Special Keys on the Chromebook Keyboard.

*Remember, on a Chromebook you can always press Ctrl + Alt + ? at any time to view a map of keyboard shortcuts.
